Question:

Trying to convert my trailer 5wire flat to a 4 wire flat for my truck. My trailer wire colors are white,brown,green, brown with green stripe, and brown with yellow stripe. What wires connect with the standard white,brown,yellow and green 4 flat?

It sounds like you have the normal set-up: green wire for right turn and brake, yellow wire for left turn and brake, white wire for ground, brown with green stripe wire for right side running lights and brown with yellow stripe for left side running lights.

Using a connector like the Quick Fix (TM) 4 Pole Flat Trailer End # HMC20031, you can connect color for color the green, white, and yellow wires. As for the brown with green stripe and the brown with yellow stripe, these will both need to be connected to the brown wire on the new connector.
