Question:
Help please! The etrailer.com website says that the Curt Hitch part #C11184 will fit a 2013 BMW 135i there are also customer reviews from the website saying this hitch fits their 2013 BMW 135i. However, the Curt Hitch website says that part #C11184 will not fit a 2013 BMW 135i only fits to year 2011. No hitches for BMW 135i for 2012 and 2013. I have been to two hitch installers in Boise, ID and they will not install this Curt Hitch Part #C11184 on my 2013 BMW 135i because the Curt Hitch website does not show it fitting. They say the etrailer.com website is wrong. Could you please explain this discrepancy? Thank you,

I would be happy to clear up the confusion!
There are multiple reasons for manufacturers to not list a hitch as fitting a specific vehicle. In this case the reason is Curt did not test the hitches fitment.
On the other hand we have researched this further and after consulting with multiple customers that have installed this hitch on their 2012 and 2013 BMW 135i we were able to confirm its fit. The 2008-2013 135i is the same frame and body which is why this hitch still fits.
If you are planning on towing with your 135i you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 119250KIT, drawbar # C45521, 1-7/8" hitch ball # A-80 or 2" hitch ball # A-82, and hitch pin and clip # F-4.
I included a few video reviews of products mentioned for you to take a look at.
