Can Furrion Vision S RV Observation System be Powered from RV Battery

Question:
My Cougar fifth wheel was factory prepped for the Furrion camera system. However, it only seems to work when I have truck lights on. Is there some way it can run on trailer battery instead of having to keep lights on?

The Furrion Vision S systems like the part # FR98NR that you referenced are normally installed like you have it with the running lights being the activation circuit since it's very convenient and easy to use and not accidentally leave on.
If you wanted to use the trailer battery power circuit as the activation circuit you certainly could but it would be a matter of running the power wire of the camera to it instead of the running lights. You'd want to use a switch too so that you'd be able to turn it off when needed as well like with the Derale switch # D16740.
