Question:
Hello, I am interested in installing a hitch system to my 2019 BMW X3. I was watching Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver Installation - 2019 BMW X3inch video for item # SH46FR , the presenter talks about raised shank because the receive is too low 12.5 inch from the ground. I am wondering what are some of the option for raised shank for this hitch system? Thank you very much in advance for you time

The raised shank that is being referred to in the video for the Stealth Hitches # SH46FR is actually the shank on the accessory itself. For example, if you take a look at the Curt cargo carrier # C18151, you can see how the shank is completely straight and level. If you then take a look at the etrailer.com # e98874, you can see how the shank has a bend that lifts the carrier up a bit. This allows for better ground clearance.
It should also be noted that the # SH46FR is not designed to be towed with. If you do plan on towing with your 2019 BMW X3, you will need the # SH62VR. This comes with the same receiver tube, but also comes with a towing shank that includes a 2 inch ball.
