Will and Edge EZ Programmer for a 2004 Dodge Ram Diesel Fit a 2005 Dodge Ram Diesel

Question:
I have an edge ez for an 04 cummins and was wondering if it is comparable with my 05 cummins previous owner of the chip says he had it in his 05 and had no issues

The Edge EZ # EP30204 is designed for the following vehicles:
2005 - 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup 5.9L
2004 - 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup 5.9L, 325hp Diesel
So basically if your 2004 had the 5.9 liter, 325 horsepower diesel then the same programmer will fit the 2005 to 2007 Dodge Rams with the 5.9 liter.
However, you will have to download the proper programming for the new vehicle and register it for that vehicle in order to use it. Programmers are set up this way so that people cannot buy a unit, tune the truck, then pass it on to someone else. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
