Question:
I have had this fan installed in my van for several years. The other day the lid motor started to malfunction. Pressing the open or close button on the remote results in the lid open/close knob turning about 1/4 turn and then the motor shuts off. Manually assisting has not affect on the motor run time. Pressing the open or close button on the fan does nothing. On power up the motor runs longer, but does not fully close the lid. I can fully open/close the lid manually and feel no abnormal resistance. I have measured the voltage at the fan at 13.3 V. Can you tell me what determines when the lid motor stops so I can trouble shoot?

Based on what your MaxxAir # MA00-07500K is currently doing it would suggest that the circuit board is bad and would need to be replaced which we offer with the part # MA10A21275K.
