Can I Use The Manager30 Battery Management System with an Automatic Transfer Switch Inverter

Question:

I want to be able to run AC appliances on only shore power when connected which is why I am looking into inverter/chargers or an inverter plus an automatic transfer switch. Would the Redvision Manager30 Kit play well with such a system?

Yes. You can use the RedArc The Manager30 Battery Management System with Lithium Profile # RED88FR with an inverter/charger that has an automatic transfer switch.

My contact at RedArc mentioned that because the Manager30 is a battery charger working off AC mains (shore) power, you need to ensure this Manager30 AC circuit is ‘only’ supplied via mains power and not inverter power as part of the AC auto transfer.

I was able to confirm this with my tech contact at RedArc.
