Question:
Howdy, I have a BandW 5th Wheel Companion Hitch that attaches to the gooseneck Item # BWRVK3500 and I have a M-Tec RVPN1409 which I think is compatible with the Venture CJ13515 pinboxes. I was hoping to get the Reese Airborne Sidewinder Item # RP61452, but I saw that the page listing said to not use this pinbox with my hitch. Is this the case, and if so, do you have a suggestion for a pinbox upgrade? Thank you, Honey

Expert Reply:
The 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000lbs Item RP61452 is the correct replacement for your M-Tec RVPN1409 and you are correct that the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3500 is not to be used with a sidewinder.
Since you can't use a sidewinder with your current hitch I recommend upgrading to the Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel King Pin - Steelco/Davis, Venture - 21,000lbs Item # UF35-946219. This is a premium pin box that will cushion and absorb road shock, improve handling and overall ride, and will limit strain on truck and trailer frames.

Hello, I also have an M-TEC RVPN1409 and I'd like to use the Reese Sidewinder product. Could you tell me which model number is compatible? I plan to use it with the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs Part Number: RP46SR. I have a 2018 Dodge Ram with a 67" bed.
