How to Turn Off the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
How can you turn off the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional ? I do not want my battery to get drained down form not using the brake controller. I would only use the brake controller two, three times a year. and the truck sits in the driveway two weeks a month or two. I did not see how to turn off in the instructions. I know I can just unplug the pig tail from the unit, but was wondering if there was a program, did not see a on /off switch either. thank you Very much.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 will go into a sleep mode after several minutes of inactivity and during this time only draws milliamps of power. This can drain the battery but it would take several months for this to happen at the rate it depletes the battery. If you want to stop this, the only way would be to unplug the cable from the back of the unit. This mind you would wipe out all of your saved settings.
