Will the AR48FR work as well on semi-v boats as v-bottom boats.

They sure will!
The Ark Ezi-Guides Self-Aligning Boat Trailer Loading System - 20' to 28' Long Power Boat # AR84FR will work perfectly with a semi-v bottom boat, as the spring loaded guide will match the contour of your boat and help keep it aligned while loading the boat.
These will also be very easy to install, though you will need to make sure the crossmembers on your boat are between 1.96" - 2.57".
