Question:
I want to upgrade the suspension on my 2004 DHM tandem axel boat trailer. My existing dimensions appear to match the replacement dimensions except that my trailer has a straight attachment bar and not a triangular one as I see in the videos. Will the Dexter triangular shape fit my trailer? Attached is a photo.

Yes, the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 will work on your 2004 DHM Tandem Axle Boat Trailer. The Equalizer is designed to replace equalizers with a 5-1/4" to 6-1/4" bolt hole separation. This may raise your suspension up to 1" as you have the flat equalizer rather than a triangular equalizer.
The Shackle Strap - 3-1/8" Long # TRSL313 can be used to replace the straps that are included to get your trailer closer to the current height.
I recommend using LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 to grease the equalizer and the wet bolts in the suspension kit. This industrial strength grease has superior adhesion qualities and works well under high wear situations.
