Troubleshooting Cooling Issues In An Everchill RV Refrigerator

Updated 05/21/2021 | Published 05/20/2021

Question:

Hi! We have just bought a new 2021 Puma. Weve had it out only one time and had trouble with this refrigerator. We would set the temperature according to the rather cumbersome way the manual described. All might be good for a few hours or even a day, and then the light would start blinking and the fridge would not cool. We would reset it and the same thing occurred....the light would start blinking. Any ideas? We appreciate any HELP! Thank you!

It sounds like your Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer - 10.7 Cu Ft - 12V - Stainless Steel Item # 324-000119 isn't receiving the correct amount of power. The fridge is going to pull 11amps to properly run. If you're not receiving 15amps at the outlet it's plugged into then you could have too small of a wire gauge for the length it's running to the outlet and will need to have it replaced with thicker gauge wire.

If you're receiving the correct amount of power the control board could be going out and would require a certified technician to repair.

I've added pictures that show the wiring gauge needed for length and the troubleshooting guide from the owner's manual.
