Have 1996 ford f250 with 8 foot bed. Please advise on the right parts to order.

I have a great alternative for you. Unfortunately, the rails that fit the Thule TracRac SR # TH43002XT will not fit your 1996 Ford F-250 and F-350 with an 8-foot bed. However, a great alternative is the Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Load Stops # EM07705. The Erickson uses J-hooks that attach anywhere along the rails of your truck for an easy installation. The Erickson also comes with load stops to make sure that your cargo does not shift during transportation. All hardware needed for installation comes with the rack.

If you need attachment straps for your cargo, I recommend the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases # EM34420. The Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps are great because they come with a bush-button release to loosen the tension on the straps. These will make sure that your cargo is fastened securely to your 1996 Ford F-250/F-350.
