Question:
Hello there, I need to replace the front hangers on my boat trailer. The trailer frame is boxed so would I drill all the way throught the frame and run a u-bolt or pair of bolts down to the hanger or should I just drill into the underside of frame and run self tapping bolts?

The best way that I could thing of would be to drill access holes and then fishwire carriage bolts through the access hole and the opening of the frame.
Check out the FAQ article I attached doing this to install hitches. Its a different application, but its the concept I am talking about. It would be up to you to determine if this method would be possible for your trailer.
