Question:
Im wanting to convert my 2005 dual axle Heritage trailer to EOH from surge discs. Im not sure of the brand of coupler on the trailer, but it is internal to the trailer tongue, and the coupler lock says Model GDC, Any hints or suggestions for a coupler that might bolt onto, or in my case into my trailer? Ive included some pictures of the current coupler, along with one that shows the bolt pattern, which looks like 12. Hopefully that helps some. Also, as you can see from the mounting bolt dimension photo, the safety lever is missing, which is part of the drive to upgrade the braking system. Lastly, any suggestions for an EOH controller for my 8,000 lb rig would be appreciated. Thanks much!

I do have an option for you, but there is not a standard coupler that matches the dimensions of your surge brake actuator.
The best option is to have a qualified welder add a 3" wide tongue to replace your surge brake actuator and the you can bolt on a standard coupler like the Titan Zinc-Plated Straight-Tongue Coupler # T4853100.
To switch from surge disc brakes to electric over hydraulic disc brakes you will need a EOH actuator like the # HBA16 if you have not already, and a breakaway kit # 20400.
For a trailer brake controller compatible with EOH brakes I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 due to it being an extremely reliable controller with great features like an easy to read LCD screen and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
