Can the hook on this strap be used to secure a load to the door from of a car as well?

We don't have a way to use a trunk mounted bike rack strap as a way to secure cargo to the rear of a vehicle but you might be interested in a roof cargo bag like the Rightline Gear Sport Jr. # RL100S50 which can attach to all roof styles including a naked roof.
