Replacement Winch For 2002 Bonaire Oh Zone Pop-Up Camper
Updated 05/11/2021 | Published 05/08/2021 >
Question:
My winch to raise the roof of my pup broke this weekend. The gears broke. Cables and springs seem to be fine. This model has the winch underneath the trailer beside the door. I cant find any info on it and would like to order a new winch. I was also thinking that I could get a front mounted winch which would be way easier of thats possible. Just not sure if I can relocate a winch to the front and make it work without too much fabrication. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would be happy to help you find the correct replacement winch for your 2002 Bonaire Oh Zone Pop up camper.
The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch w/ Automatic Brake - TUFFPLATE Finish - 1,200 lbs # DL14934 you were looking at would be a great replacement option as it has a 1200lb capacity and an automatic brake to hold the load in place.
It may be possible to relocate the winch to the front, but that would require custom fabrication to make work as that is not how your trailer was designed, and I won't be of any help in that regards.
I included a video of the # DL14934 for you to take a look at.
