How To Determine a Trailer Tire's PSI Rating

Question:
I am towing a travel trailer with dry wt of 3939lb and fully loaded 4500lb. What should the tire pressure be when towing? Thanks

In order to find the correct trailer tire inflation value, you must look on the sidewall of the tire itself. This will display the correct cold fill psi. The weight of the trailer is not a factor when determining psi but it is when selecting the correct load range. If you're looking to get more real-time info on both psi and temp which can be used to better predict failures then I highly recommend a TPMS like the TireMinder A1AS TPMS for RVs and Trailers part # TM49FR.
