It will not, unfortunately the trailer hitches we offer for the 2021 Kia Niro aren't compatible with plug in hybrid electric vehicles A/K/A PHEV's as the structure at the rear of the vehicle is different enough that the hitch won't fit.

If you were needing a hitch to carry bikes, I'd recommend a trunk mounted bike rack, like the Yakima FullBack 2-bike model, part # Y02634 or for a 3-bike model, use # Y02633. I've linked to a demonstration video for the Yakima FullBack trunk mounted bike rack.

To minimize the chances of damaging the finish of the vehicle, you'll want to make sure the surfaces of the vehicle and the rack that touch are perfectly clean, that you don't exceed the weight capacity of the rack and that the rack is installed exactly as outlined in the instructions. If you'll be carrying bikes frequently, you might consider picking up some clear paint protection film from your local auto parts store to protect the vehicle finish.
