No, the Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack 84" Long x 54" Wide # Y05048-39 is not made to be trimmed or cut. I recommend looking into the Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack 76" Long x 65" Wide # Y05046-39 which measures 76" long, but it is wider at 65".
You could also add Perimeter Rail Kit for Yakima LockNLoad Platform Racks - 76" Long x 65" Wide # Y05057. This attaches to the 76" x 65" Rack mentioned above and provides a really nice looking rail. This can be used to keep cargo inside the rack and also offers easy tie-down points. I attached a helpful demonstration video for you.
