Item # FCE48TASL-05 Camera Turns Off When Side Marker Is Activated

Updated 05/07/2021 | Published 05/06/2021

Question:

I have a 2019 Jayco Octane T30F. I purchased a Furrion, FCE48TASL-05 from Etrailer and have the side lights wired to my old marker lights. The power light appears to be the marker light and directional. When I put either directional signal on the camera goes out. If I move just the camera trigger wire to the license plate light, I believe it is the light green wire will this allow the camera to function independently of the marker light. I can tap into that wire at the front of the camper after the junction box if I have traced the wires right. I cant find a wiring schematic for the camper. If you know of a better wiring method please advise.

The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System Item # FCE48TASL-05 only needs power and ground to function as the observation system. This is the easiest way to install and use the cameras. The screen will allow you to have all cameras on at one time in a split screen format. I have included a link to an installation video on a 2009 Forest River Cedar Creek and a 2019 Keystone Cougar. It sounds like you may have miss wired the cameras. Keep in mind the running lights must be on in order for the cameras to function.
