Question:
Hi I was looking at the above item and had a question about it. Does it really only have a 50 degree viewing angle? I am looking for a magnetic backup camera for the back of my camper and I am not sure if a 50 degree view will work. Thanks

Yes. The Swift Hitch Digital Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor - Night Vision - 8-Hr Camera Battery # SH02Digital you were looking at has a 50 degree viewing angle, this is due to it being designed for aligning a trailer hitch receiver on a truck and not for being a back up camera.
For a magnetic option with a wider viewing angle I recommend the Rear View Safety WiFi Hitch Backup Camera System - Wireless # RVS-83112-WiFi which will connect to your smart phone or tablet and has a 120 degree viewing angle. Keep in mind it is not recommended to leave a magnetic camera attached to your trailer while driving as the camera could come loose in wind.
If you would rather have a one time install on the trailer, and have something that can also be used as an observation camera I recommend the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision - Rear Mount - 4.3" Screen # FOS43TASF which will mount to the back of your camper and tie into the running light circuit, and the included monitor will plug in to a 12v outlet in the cab of your tow vehicle.
The camera included with the # FOS43TASF has a 120 degree viewing angle to allow you to see behind you when you are backing up, or you can turn the headlights on your tow vehicle on while driving and use it as an observation camera.
I included a video of the # FOS43TASF being installed for you to take a look at.
