Hello, I have a 2017 Dodge Journey with factory rails. I want to install crossbars so I can mount a rooftop tent. I was told I needed to support the tent 108# and my weight which is also about 150#. What do I need to buy? Thank you.

With my research, I discovered that the roof weight capacity of your 2017 Dodge Journey is 150 pounds. However, this is most likely the dynamic weight capacity (weight capacity while the vehicle is in motion). To find the static weight capacity (weight capacity while the vehicle is stopped), I recommend contacting your local Dodge dealer. In addition to the Vortex Aero Crossbars, you will need the Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - Raised Factory Side Rails - Qty 4 # RRSX100.
