Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at our Specialty Recreation RV Shower Pan with a Front Center Drain, and it's a 24 by 24 inch in white color. Now folks, the shower pan will replace or upgrade the shower pan in your RV or camper's bathroom. It does fit a front center drain hole setup. It has a four-sided flan setup, and what that's gonna do is gonna help prevent water from seeping behind the pan and damaging the surrounding walls or the floor.
Now zooming in here, I wanna show you this textured, anti-slip floor, and that's gonna give you traction so you don't fall and that kind of stuff. It is made of a durable, white ABS plastic. It's scratch resistant. And flip it over real quick when I got it zoomed in, you can see this foam base. So this layer of foam is actually here on purpose.
It is kind of slanted a little bit to get the water to run where it needs to, right into that drain hole. And that drain hole is a standard two inch diameter. And this pre-installed foam is also gonna give you support, and also help prevent the shower pan from cracking. And it also dampens the sound if you accidentally drop something. Now this is lighter, durable, and environmentally friendly, since it's made of the ABS plastic.
And it's a lot lighter and everything than the fiberglass that are out there as well. Now it is a screw on installation. There is no hardware included. You'd have to follow the instructions. Drill holes and screws to mount it to your wall where needed per your particular application.
Now like I said, it is a 24 by 24 inch base. That being said, when you measure, the actual measurement is 23 and three quarters by 23 and three quarters. And from the closest flange to the center of our drain hole, so from the center of the drain hole to the closest flange, I was getting, when I measured earlier, three and three quarter inches. Now the whole pan itself is three and seven eights inches deep overall. So again, folks, just a nice Specialty Recreation RV Shower Pan. Purchased these to match my old cracked shower, as the dementions and center drain are exactly what is in my 2003 RV. My concern is with the thinness of the enclousure. I will be applying quarter inch backer board for added strenght, otherwise it is a perfectly made pan and surround.
