Question:
For operating a 12V refrigerator youll want to use a separate dedicated high amp-hour battery. The Everchill Refrigerator # 324-000119 will draw 11-amps per hour, so for example, this unit powered by a 100-Ah battery with nothing else drawing power from it will operate for about 9 hours. Smaller items like a water pump # LC689052 which draws 8-amps and especially LED lights like # RVILL34 which draws 0.6-amps will continue to operate past the point where the fridge stops cooling. The compressor may still operate and be audible while working but still be unable to pump the refrigerant through the system. The above is what your expert said. But if you look at the electrical sheet for the unit, it says 2.5Ah - 3.0Ah to keep cool. And 8.0Ah - 9.0Ah to reach set temperature. So how can you say this unit uses 11Ah? Assume outside temperature of 75 - 80F and the refrigerator set to 50F. How many Ah or if you like Wh will this unit use in 24 hour period?

I do not necessarily agree with prior statements about this product regarding a separate battery or an 11 amp power draw. The User's Manual does not state the power draw, and I have been unable to have EverChill's technical support contact me. The only available information is that the unit draws 8-9 amps during initial chilling, and 2.5 amps to maintain temperate after the initial chill. I would imagine that these are best case scenarios. The power usage of refrigerators can fluctuate significantly depending on the indoor ambient temperate, if the refrigerator is in direct sunlight, how many times the door is opened, what temperate the refrigerator is set to, and other stressors.
To determine the amp hour usage over time, multiply the amp hour draw of the appliance to the time period. In this case, about 2.5 amp hour draw X a 24 hour period, equals 60 amp hours. If you have at 120 amp hour battery, with only this connected, it will last 2 days.
