To remove the lock cores from your Replacement 13 mm SpeedLink Mounting Hardware Assembly for Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # 7521241001 you will need to use the change key that comes with cylinders like the four-pack of Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450400.
You shouldn't have to push from the back at all, you will need to insert the change key all the way until you hear an audible click, and the cylinder will be removed. You need to make sure the lock core is unlocked before removing it, and if it is being stubborn try using some spray lubricant.
