Even though your motor has just two wires, you can still replace it with the three-wire motor from Ventline:
- Replacement Fan Motor for Ventline Range Hoods # BVD0278-00
The reason this motor has three wires is because it can be used for two-speed motors, but since yours has just two wires you have a one-speed motor. I have added a cut out from the instructions that you will receive which displays how you will want to wire the motor. You will use either the Blue (low speed) or Red (High Speed) wire and cap off the other as it will not be used.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Replacement Fan Motor for Ventline Range Hoods # BVD0278-00.

Are there any diagrams for wiring the rotary switch to the lamp and fan? I failed to take pictures when replacing the fan and now I'm totally stumped as to how to put it back together.
