Question:

Hello, We have a 2021 CrossRoads Volante 310BH will the Gen-Y Hitch just bolt right to the camper or will we have to drill holes? Pulling it with a 2018 Ram 3500 6.7 8ft box. also how much room will I have in the box for turning and ruff roads. We pick the camper up next month and I dont want to have a plate in the back. It does appear that the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR is the correct one for your 2021 CrossRoads Volante 310BH. To ensure that there will be no issues installing this I recommend contacting your dealer to ensure it has the 1621 pin box from the factory.

Your Volante has a tongue weight of 1,644lbs dry so this fits into the 1,500-3,500lbs the hitch requires. With your 2018 Ram 3500 having the 8' bed you will not have any turning radius issues with this hitch. And the shock absorption that is built into the hitch will help your ride when traveling down rough roads by absorbing most of the chucking and jarring.

You will need a Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit # 49150 to install with the Gen-Y box as all ball couplers will require safety chains when towing.
