Question:

I have the new 2020 chevy 2500 standard bed as they call it .. Been looking on line on the demco auto slide but I have the puck system and dont want to buy adapter for it and BandW are out of stock .. So to say is the reese box any good on the standard bed my rv is a 2021 cedarcreek311 rl .. And had to have it delivered because of no hitch yet

I have another option but the Reese Goose Box item # RP85FR you were looking at is not recommend for trucks with less than an 8' bed since you will not be able to make very sharp turns without having cab to trailer contact.

Since your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 has the standard 6-3/4' bed I recommend going with a rotating pin box like the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP61422 instead which will allow you to use a fixed 5th wheel hitch while moving the pivot point of the pin box 22" further back for additional clearance.

The # RP61422 is designed to replace the Fabex 663 and 665, Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD, and M&M 663 and 665 pin boxes so you will need to identify which pin box is on your 2021 Cedar Creek 311RL. There is a sticker on the pin box that has the model number, but if for some reason it is missing just send me the serial number of the pin box and I would be happy to identify it for you.

For a 5th wheel hitch that does not require an adapter to fit in the OEM towing prep package in your Silverado I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3710 with 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels # SWW-06 which will fit directly into the pucks in your truck without the need for an adapter.
