Question:
Will this Trailer hitch town a car?
asked by: John V
Expert Reply:
Yes the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT42RR on your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will allow you to flat tow a car up to 6,000lbs. If you are trailer towing the car, the combined weight of the trailer and car cannot exceed 6,000lbs towing and 900lbs of tongue weight unless using a weight distribution hitch. If you are using a Weight Distribution Hitch # EQ37100ET then your capacity is increased to 10,000lbs towing and 1,000lbs of tongue weight.
Remember these weight ratings cannot exceed the manufacturer's tow rating given to your Silverado.
