Are Optronics LED Lights, Part # LS-108, Suitable for Use on Camper for Illuminating Perimeter

Question:
Hi, Im looking for an alternative to Whelens Perimeter Lighting because of the price, ~$120 each. I need some low profile white LED lights to go on the side of a camper and light up the ground around the truck. Would the LS-108s be appropriate or do you have another suggestion?

LEDs are a great choice for providing maximum light output with minimal current draw and also avoid the need to replace worn out bulbs. We offer a range of such products with varying numbers of LEDs and in different shapes to suit many applications.
Please note that these items are typically not DOT-approved for use as primary vehicle lights, but are perfect for secondary uses such as your application on the exterior of your camper.
The # LS-108 uses 12 LEDs per 6-1/4 x 1 inch housing and includes wiring and a power switch. Two units are supplied as a set and have a 3-year warranty.
You might consider the Access LED lighting kit, part # A70380, which consists of a single 1-foot flexible strip of 18 LEDs with integral power switch (with adhesive backing on both light strip and power switch). This unit can be bent to span the corners of your camper, providing light in multiple directions with a single unit. Its water-proof construction makes it ideal for exterior use. This product carries a 1-year warranty. Please see the included video link that demonstrates the simple installation.
Strip LED lights like the above item from Accent offer the lowest-profile available. We do offer a large variety of LED lights with housings but these are all typically 1 or 2 inches thick. I have included a link to our product page for LED trailer lights where you can see many of the other offerings.
