Will Apple Phone Play Through Jensen AWM965 Stereo?

Question:
I have a Jensen AWM 965 I plug my iPhone 11 into the USB port it charges the phone but does not play the radio why?

From my research, it does not appear that the Jensen # JWM965 will play music from an iPhone through the USB jack on the front of the radio. However there are two solutions.
First the JWM965 radio has a AUX input on the front left bottom. If your iPhone is old enough to have a headphone jack then you can connect them with a cable that has 1/8" stereo jacks on each end. If your iPhone is newer, and without a headphone jack, there is a dongle (available elsewhere) that will provide your phone a headphone jack and you can connect them using the before mentioned 1/8" stereo cable.
The other alternative is to replace your JWM965 radio with a Jensen # JWM60A which has all of the same features, but also now has the ability to play your music from your iPhone via BLUETOOTH. This wireless solution would be the most convenient
