Bike Rack Solution for Hitch Ball Mounted on Truck Bumper

Question:
Do you guys think that I can add this item to my bumper where the ball will normally be placed. Intended use is to attach a bike rack for 2 bikes to it? I attached a picture of an example of where I want to place it.

The ATV Hitch part # RP7065100 was designed to fit a hole with a 5/8 inch diameter and wasn't really designed for your application so I wouldn't recommend attempting to use it as a first choice.
An easier solution might be a bike rack that attaches directly to the hitch ball like the Curt Clamp On part # C18013.
