Question:
Gentlemen: have Rockwood 8285ws with Dexter Torflex 10f 4000 lb Axles. Mfg in 2016. Dexter notes K23-462-00 / 463 for brake assembly.. Your site lists the above assembly for 4400k Axle. Are they the same , or your recommendations ? Thank you

The title of these Dexter electric brakes does read for a 4,400 lb axle, but they will fit - and work - with the 10" drum on a 4,000 lb axle like yours. Since your axle was made in 2016, you do have the correct Dexter brakes:
- Dexter Electric Brake Assembly for 4.4K Axles Manufactured After May 2009 - 10" - Left Hand # K23-462-00
- Dexter Electric Brake Assembly for 4.4K Axles Manufactured After May 2009 - 10" - Right Hand # K23-463-00
My guess is the fact Dexter lists these as for 4,400 lb axles is likely just because 4,400 lb axles are far more common than 4,000 lb axles, so it makes them easier to search when looking for parts. But these are the exact same K23-462-00 / K23-463-00 brakes and exactly what you are looking for.
The brakes come with the mounting hardware as well so you're all set and won't need any other parts.
