Question:

I lost the key to my Thule bike rack. I just purchased a universal key, but is there another option? I just sold my car and must get the rack off today. Thanks

The universal change key # 853-1251 I think you're referring to only allows you to remove a lock that has already been unlocked. On the front of the lock face there should be a number that begins with N, like N003 or something similar. This will tell you what key like the # THKEYN003 that you can use to unlock your bike rack.

If you can let me know what number you found on the front of the lock I can help you locate a key that will allow you to unlock the anti-rattle hitch lock that's holding your rack on your vehicle.
