Will the Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock work on a 2005 Ford F250 with a Locking Tailgate

Question:
I have a locking tailgate, but the key is different than the door and ignition key. I do not have the tailgate key. Will the PopALock work in this situation? 2005 F250

Expert Reply:
According to my contact at Pop and Lock, the # PAL8205 will lock and unlock your tailgate independently of the key lock, as long as it is a Ford tailgate. You would also be able to unlock the tailgate with the key and lock it with the key fob or vice versa. In other words, there will be complete compatibility between the PAL8205, your tailgate and the existing electric locks on your truck.
The key will need to be unlocked at the key hole in order for this product to unlock the tailgate.
