What is the Correct Trailer Wiring Harness For A 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

Question:

The connector in trunk is different in 2010 and there`s no place in engine fuse panel or interior fuse panel for relays. But the fuses are preinstalled from factory for trailer, right,left signal and parking light in engine fuse panel, but there isn`t any power to trunk connector where a kit would plug in if connectors were correct. Can this 2010 be hard wired, it uses a single bulb on each side for turn signal, brakes and park lights. The trailer has one runnig light on each side and nornal taillight and uses a 4 pole connector. Do I need to install a taillght converter to keep light bright with this system. hope you under stand questions If need be I can send fuse panel pictures from owners manual or acual fuse panel and trunk connector picture. At this time there is not a vehicle specific wiring harness for the 2010 Equinox. You can wire your vehicle with the Upgraded Circuit Protected Modulite with 4 Pole Harness and Hardwire Kit, item # 118494. With this kit you will get everything needed to install a 4-pole trailer connector for towing. The Modulite kit uses a wire that is ran to the battery with a inline fuse to power the trailer lights, you will then use the included circuit tester to find the vehicle wiring, at the rear of the vehicle behind the taillights, to splice the trailer wiring harness to.
