Can Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Install on Truck with Air Brakes

Question:
Hello, I need a trailer brake controller to tow a trailer with electric brakes. I have two Ford F650 2019 and 2020 straight trucks equipped with air brakes. Other controllers we have installed cause the trailer brakes to lockup the moment the brake pedal is even lightly pressed, regardless of setting. Will the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional 90885 solve this issue? If so, what will I need to install the unit on my trucks? Your help is much appreciated.

Electric brake controllers can install on trucks with air brakes without issue since they use the brake light circuit for activation and then this controller then uses an inertia sensor to sense how hard you apply the brakes and then apply a relative amount on the trailer brakes.
If you were seeing the brakes lock up when the pedal was touched that would indicate that you probably had the brake light circuit ran straight to the output circuit of the brake controller wiring which would then put 12 volts on the brake circuit immediately.
