Question:
I have a 2021 Fleetwood Fortis 34MB with the new F53 V-8 Chassis. What are the options for using a brake controller if I tow a trailer with electric brakes?

I have an option that may work for you, but after calling Ford, and Fleetwood they were unable to confirm if your 2021 Fleetwood Fortis 34MB has the factory trailer brake controller port for installing a trailer brake controller.
With that said you can still install one, but it will need to be hardwired. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it is an extremely reliable controller that has great features like an easy to read LCD screen and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand. You will want to use the Wiring Kit # 5506 as well.
To connect the controller you will need to make the following connections:
Blue wire of # 90195 to factory brake output wire, this is typically a blue wire and can be found by tracing the wire from the 7-way connector back towards the cab.
Black wire of # 90195 to battery of your Fortis with a 20 amp circuit breaker included in the # 5506 if the trailer you are towing has 2-4 braking assemblies (1-2 axles) or the 30 amp circuit breaker included in the # 5506 if the trailer has 6-8 braking assemblies (3-4 axles)
White wire of # 90195 to negative terminal of battery
Red wire of # 90195 to cold side of stop light switch that only has power when brake pedal is pressed. Using circuit tester # PTW2993 will help you find the correct wire.
I included videos for the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
