Question:

I am looking at Roadmaster EZ baseplate #524426-1 for my 2013 Ford Edge...NO adaptive cruise and NOT eco boost. I have a Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar. What do I need to connect the tow bar to the baseplate? Thanks

According to the owner's manual, 3.5 or 3.7L engine models can be flat towed with all 4 wheels down. 2.0L engine equipped models cannot be flat towed, a tow dolly like the Demco # DM9713045 Kar Kaddy SS would be needed.

For a non-EcoBoost engine vehicle without the adaptive cruise control, you'd want to use the # 4408-1 base plates which is for vehicles without the adaptive cruise control. The base plates will bolt right up to the quick disconnect crossbar that came with your # RM-520 Falcon 2 tow bar with no adapter needed.

In addition to the tow bar and base plates, you'll also need safety cables, a taillight wiring harness, a supplemental braking system and a few odds and ends like possibly a high/low adapter if the installed 21 inch height of the base plates has a greater than 3 inch height differenced compared to the receiver height on the motorhome. If you'd like some recommendations for these products, let me know and I'd be happy to make some suggestions for you.
