I have a replacement option for you, but unfortunately the AL-KO braking assemblies # K23-538-00 and # K23-539-00 have been discontinued after AL-KO was bought out by Dexter.

The best option would be to replace your current axle with one that uses standard brakes to allow you to find replacement brakes now and in the future.

Since we do not have any 4400lb axles, I recommend using 5200lb axles as a replacement. We offer the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes - E-Z Lube - 6 on 5-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 89" - 5,200 lbs # 8327820-EB that includes brakes, and hubs but you will need to confirm the hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center measurement of your current axle to verify the correct replacement axle.

The # 8327820-EB has a hub face to hub face measurement of 89" and a spring center to spring center measurement of 74" as shown in the included diagram. If this matches your current axle this would be a great all in one replacement option.

If you find your axle has different dimensions just let me know.

I included a video of the # 8327820-EB for you to take a look at.

Hi It looks like I need to replace my ALKO T44 axles with these. My trailer came from the factory with the springs on the top of the axel. I see kits to add the mount for the leaf spring mount on the top. Can you recommend kit? I see after bolted on it is recommended these are welded. Any chance you guys could send pre welded mount to mirror existing mount? Thx Ken
