Question:
Hello! I am considering purchasing a hitch receiver for my 2002 GMC Savana Conversion Van. It seems like it has a lower bumper than most Savanas. Would it fit below, or would I need to cut into the fiberglass or would it not fit at all? The part Im considering is Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Item # 75189 Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75189 should fit your 2002 GMC Savana Van just fine, unless the bumper has been lowered by someone before. All of the hitches that we carry for your van fit the same way. You may have to do a bit of trimming or remove the bumper and mount it in the original factory location.
If you need a trailer wiring kit, I recommend # 118377 or # 118240.
You will also need # ETBC7 if you want to haul a trailer with 7 pole wiring on it.
