Classic Accessories RV Wheel Covers Part # CA80083 Ability to Withstand High Winds

I live in the Central Plains MO and frequently experience high winds 50 mph. My trailer sits in an open field with no protection from the wind. How well will these covers stay on the tires, or is there a better product with grommets and bungee cords to hold them in place? Thanks!

The Classic Accessories RV Wheel Covers, part # CA80083, features an elastic hem on the top/rear of the cover that helps grip the tire at the top, where it is most likely to catch wind moving under the RV. You may want to review the comments from other purchasers of this product, whose experiences might be helpful in your decision-making process. If you return to the product page for this item and scroll down to the Customer Reviews section you will be able to see what other customers thought of this item after purchasing and using it on their RVs.

I would say that the fit of the cover to your tires will have a bearing on how well they withstand high winds. The more snug the fit, the less the potential for wind to be able to get under the cover and lift it. Since Classic Accessories offers multiple size ranges I suggest you simply select the most appropriate size option to provide the least amount of extra slack in the cover.

We also offer a range of RV and trailer covers for all types of trailers: teardrops, pop-ups, 5th wheels, travel trailers and motor homes. We also offer specialty covers for items like air conditioners and heaters. The link provided at right will let you see all available options and the filters in the left-hand margin will let you narrow down the products shown to the type you need.
