Will the Curt Front Hitch for a 2014 Ford F-350 Work With Bike Rack
Updated 03/05/2021 | Published 03/02/2021 >
Question:
I watched you video on the install of the CURT 31018 front hitch on a 2014 F350 which is what I have. I also watched your video on the Hollywood bike rack HLY84FR. So the bike rack has 5.5 inches of clearance to the bumper in your video. My question is using the Curt hitch does the bike rack clear the front bumper of the F350? Could you put the rack on the demo 2014 F350 you have and see if the bike rack and the hitch will work together and let me know. Your video on the bike rack did not measure the distance from the pin hole to the rack mechanism that would have to clear the bumper. Please send me a reply. Thank you..

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31018 is a great option for a 2014 Ford F-350. It is recessed behind the bumper by a few inches but not so much so that I think you would have any issues with bike racks in the in-use position. Whether or not they could be folded would be a different story but at that point you'd be blocking headlight visibility and airflow to the radiator so not really something I'd recommend.
Unfortunately, we don't have any measurements for the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver on the vehicle but I don't think there will be an issue with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack while folded down. I have attached an install video on the trailer hitch below.
