Is An Older Reese 15k Compatible with the Reese Square Tube Slider Base

Question:
I have an older model reese 15k fifth wheel that came with my truck. The head works great but now Ive got a 5th wheel rv and need a slider. Will the RP30048 work with it? My dodge is a 2005 and am sure they put it in a year or two later. I cant read a model number on it but can tell its a 15K Reese with rails in the bed.

It sounds like you probably have the old Reese Classic 15k 5th wheel hitch, which is compatible with the # RP30048 slider base. This will allow you to convert your standard 5th wheel hitch to a sliding hitch.
