Troubleshooting Remote Start for Firman Generator

my firman 10000 watt wont start by remote how do ni get it to start

If the unit will start with the starter button on the control panel, but will not start with the remote, you can follow these troubleshooting steps.
1. The starter needs to be reprogrammed. Follow instructions on page 12 of your owners manual. I have emailed a copy of the manual to you.
2. The battery in the remote is dead. Replacement battery is common type found at many stores. After replacing batteries the remote will have to be reprogrammed again.
3. If these steps fail then you will probably need a new control module. Contact Firman for replacement parts.

My Firman 4500 Untimate won't remote start. I change the FOB batteries. The generator did not start after. How do I reprogram the FOB to the generator. Pg 12 of the manual illydes to doing this but without saying how? Thanks.

@Weldon From page # 12 of the manual: 1) On the generator control panel, flip the engine switch to the RUN (I) position. 2) Flip the battery switch to the ON (I) position. 3) Push and hold down the PROGRAM button on the control panel for about 3 seconds, and the REMOTE START light will illuminate. 4) Push and release the STOP button on the remote control. The indicator light on the remote will flash once. 5) Push and release the START button on the remote control. The indicator light on the remote will flash once. 6) Push and hold the PROGRAM button on the generator's control panel for about 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off. The remote will be programmed at this point.
