Question:

I have a 2011 Mazda CX-9 that currently has a bare roof with fixed mounting points. I would like to install roof rack to provide us with more flexibility in hauling luggage. Im looking for a roof rack that can utilize the fixed mounting points and doesnt require the use of clamps on the top of our passenger doors. If you can provide me with a few options that would be great! So far Ive looked at products such as the one in the link below, however this system appears to utilize clamps on the topside of the doors, which I am not a fan of. Thank you in advance!

Here's a couple solutions that you might like.

The Rola # R6003 Extreme Roof Rack mounts to your existing fixed mounting points, and the cross bars ar 53" long. Cross bars rated for 165 pounds, but check you owner's manual for roof weight rating.

The Inno # INB127 features 50" square steel crossbars. You will additionally need the # INXP feet and # INTR124 fit kit. Like the Rola, this will mount to your existing fixed mounting points. Cross bars rated for 220 pounds.
