How Much Fender Clearance Does Curt 5th Wheel 7-Way Adapter Require

Question:
For the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 7 Long Item # C56070, What is the minimum fender depth required for the back side of the cable to make the 90 degree turn down to the connection point? Im trying to mount this as high as possible in the truck bed.

I checked with Curt and the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 7 Long Item # C56070 would require 7 inches of clearance on the inner side of the fender/bed wall to install.
