Question:

2019 Ram Rebel 5.7 short bed 4x4 with 4 corner air. What do I need to tow a 5th wheel camper? Or should I say what do I need to buy and have installed. Is there anything out there? 5th wheel hitch, which one, rails? Yada Yada yada

The best option we have for fifth wheel towing with a 2019 Ram 1500 5-1/2' Bed is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # DM8550040 which provides enough travel to make sharp turns and the slide mechanism is automatic so there would be no need to get in and out of the truck. It would then require the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM8552032-71 for mounting. The only other thing I would add is the Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness part # DM8555002.

Please note you can't use a standard slider hitch since it won't offer enough travel so the only other option besides the above is to replace the pin box on the trailer which will be much more expensive than the above option.
