Question:

I have a denco autoslide that I do not have mounting rails for. I have a 2015 f-250 with BandS gooseneck ball. I understand that I can’t use an adaptor with a sliding unit. Why is that? What rail mount do I need? Thanks in advance

You cannot use an adapter with the Demco Autoslide 5th wheel hitch on your gooseneck ball because the constant twisting and turning is too much stress on the gooseneck ball. Since it sounds like you do not have the OEM puck system on your 2015 Ford F-250, you will need to use Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails # DM8552000-71 in order to install your Demco Hijacker Premier series 5th wheel hitch. This offers a simple bolt-on installation. You will have to remove your goose neck ball and install this 5th wheel hitch.

In order to use your gooseneck trailer in the future, you could use Demco Hijacker Premier Series Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for 5th Wheel Rails - 25,000 lbs # DM5996. This rail kit will attach to the Demco Hijacker 5th wheel rails # DM8552000-71 mentioned above and give you a 2-5/16" gooseneck ball. I have attached demonstration videos for these products.
